Hello, my name is Jodie.

I am a fully qualified and insured foot health practitioner who delivers services to Herne Bay and the surrounding areas.

A Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) is a trained professional who specialises in providing non-medical foot care services.
They are skilled in assessing and maintaining the health of the feet, addressing various foot-related issues, and promoting overall foot well-being.
FHPs can trim and file toenails, addressing issues like ingrown toenails, thickened nails, and fungal infections.

Callus and Corn Management: They can safely remove or reduce calluses and corns, which are areas of thickened or hardened skin on the feet.

Foot Health Education: FHPs provide advice and education on proper foot hygiene, footwear selection, and strategies to prevent common foot problems.

Basic Foot Assessments: They can identify potential foot problems or abnormalities and refer clients to appropriate medical professionals if necessary.

Diabetic Foot Care: FHPs often work with diabetic clients to help them maintain proper foot health and prevent complications.

Foot Health Products: FHPs may recommend or provide foot care products such as creams, pads, and orthotics to address specific concerns.

It's important to note that a Foot Health Practitioner is not a medical doctor and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. They focus on preventive and maintenance care for the feet.
In addition to a foot health diploma, I have a NQF5 qualification in diabetes management, a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care ( community nursing ) and a diploma in Welfare Studies.

I am fully vaccinated against Influenza, Covid-19 and have an up to date DBS check.
